Catching Your Ego in the Act

Ego Games Episode

Have you noticed that, despite your desire to have harmony in your relationships, you still lash out sometimes and hurt the people you love with unkind words?

That’s one of the things that can happen when the ego is threatened.

There are actually six ways that the ego acts to maintain a sense of control. And all of them have terrible consequences for our relationships.

That’s why I’ve created today’s episode of TerriDaviesTV on this topic.

Your higher self doesn’t want to hurt anyone, but your ego sees it as a necessary price for getting what it wants.

It’s time to become aware of your ego so you can catch it in the act before it has a chance to damage your relationships!

Here’s your chance to learn the six crafty games the ego plays. Grab a cup of tea and watch the video…

Don’t forget to write a comment at the bottom of the page when you’re done.

Hi Terri, as I was watching your video I was thinking how much of me my ego is and how much it dominates my daily life. I have to say that I am aware about it a lot of the time, but usually after the fact. I yell, I make sarcastic comments, I tell people what to do, or think how wrong they are but rarely I can catch myself “in the act” and only think about it after and feel kind of bad: “oh, it was my ego!” I was wondering how you transitioned to this next stage when you are aware of the ego when it is “acting up”.

      Hi Valerie,

Learning about the ways that the ego operates was the first step for me. Then I would start noticing the ego in retrospect after a conversation or a situation would occur.
The Awareness to see the ego in the act is not something we can will ourselves t have. Awareness is a gift of grace, and I prayed for help from my Divine for this. I have been extremely committed to my spiritual growth over the past couple of years, and I’ve wanted nothing more than to dissolve the ego or have it take a back seat. The Oneness University is very focused on assisting people with this exact thing, and I find that their teachings and receiving Oneness blessings has helped me so much. We do circles in Victoria 2 to 3 times a month now if you want to join us. http://onenessvictoria.ca

      Thanks for the question!
